Transfer #5

Today starts transfer #5. Two days ago, we got transfer calls, and
elder Andrew is leaving! Along with 8 other missionaries from our
Zone. One missionary from every companionship in our district and Zone
is leaving this transfer. Our zone is awesome and I know those who are
leaving will make great strides in the rest of their missions.

In the flurry of transfers, I'll share a couple of cool experiences we
had this week.

The first one is with a man we have been teaching for some time,
He had some medical issues so we offered to give him a blessing, and he accepted.
We went over on Saturday with a member and gave him a powerful blessing. He is still
recovering, but we have plans to finish teaching him this week. We do have to extend his old baptismal date a week.  It's going to be on the 31st now, he just needs to come to church. We
were also super close to getting him to go to a baptism that a member had yesterday.

We also reconnected for a little bit with the investigator that came
to church last Sunday. We were able to re teach him this week with a
member. It was really good and I personally had my testimony
strengthened about bringing members to lessons.

Sorry for the short letter, I am currently waiting for my new companion

Love,
Elder Blackburn

P.s.

The Johnsons are amazing and taught us a few things. The first is a
Tim Tam Slam. It's straight from Australia. There is a cookie called a
Tim Tam. It's a wafer cookie. What you do is take the cookie, bite the
opposite ends, and use it to drink hot chocolate. As soon as you feel
hot chocolate on your tongue, you put the whole cookie in your mouth.
It's super good. And the other one is we know how to make roses out of
napkins. It's super cool.

Waiting at the Church for transfers to be completed...
